This match took place on the 13th May 2012 and it was deciding who won the Premier League out of Manchester City and Manchester United, the two massive rivals.
City were top of the table before kick-off on goal difference to United meaning a win for City would win them the title, unless United scored a crazy amount of goals in their match.
However, the table changed dramatically after 20 minutes as Wayne Rooney scored for Manchester United and put them 2 points at the top of the table. In the 39th minute Pablo Zabaleta came up field and got himself a rare goal to put City back on top of the table.
At Half Time this is how the table stood:
P W D L GD PTS
1 Manchester City 38 28 5 5 64 89
2 Manchester United 38 28 5 5 56 89
After 48 minutes Manchester United lead by 2 points again after Djibril Cisse punished City for their woeful start to the second half as he equalised for QPR.
The Etihad Stadium erupted into tears in the 66th minute when Jamie Mackie put the underdogs 2-1 up and gave United a massive chance of clinching the Premier League title once again. In the 85th minute City fans started to boo their players after their performance and some were leaving the stadium with tears in their eyes.
In the 92nd minute, Edin Dzeko headed home a very late equaliser to give city a slither of hope of winning the title.
Could Manchester City manage to scrape another chance in the hope of scoring the winning goal?Deep into added time in the 94th minute, striker Mario Balotelli kept a City attack alive. He somehow managed to scrape the ball past two defenders as the ball landed straight at the feet of Sergio Aguero just inside the penalty area.
He ran with the ball until he was about 10 yards out and smashed the ball past the QPR keeper and into the back of the net. Aguero took his shirt off and started swinging it around in the air, in total disbelief of what he had just done.
The City players had a massive pile on, making the most of the moment. From kick-off a QPR player smashed the ball down to the City corner flag and Joe Hart slowly made his way to the ball. He got the ball, smashed it upfield and the referee blew for the final whistle.
The crowd erupted and the United fans who had made the travel down to The Stadium Of Light were in total shock of what their rivals had managed to do.
