On the 22nd March 2014, Chelsea hosted Arsenal at Stamford Bridge for what was Arsene Wenger`s 1000 match in charge.
Chelsea started very brightly indeed, with veteran Samuel Eto`o and Andre Schurrle putting `the blues` 2-0 up with only 7 minutes on the clock.
Chelsea played the ball neatly up the field yet again and had Arsenal short at the back, and as Eden Hazard had a shot at an open goal, midfielder Alex Oxlade Chamberlain dived and managed to prevent the ball going into the net with his hand, however the referee accidentally sent Kieran Gibbs off, something that he later apologised for.
Eden Hazard made no mistake in scoring the spot kick, and Chelsea were three nil up inside 17 minutes. Oscar managed to get a brace for Chelsea, whilst Mohammed Salah scored his first Chelsea goal.
