On the 9th September 2017, Manchester City were hosting a Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium. Liverpool came into the match oozing with confidence from their 4-0 thrashing over Arsenal a week before, however the match certainly didn’t start off as planned.
In the 24th minute, Sergio Aguero sent Man City off to a flying start as he scored the 1st goal of the match, before things got worse for Liverpool when Sadio Mane got sent off for a collision with City goalkeeper Ederson as Mane’s boot made contact with Ederson’s jaw, however it was clearly unintentional. Following this Ederson had to be stretchered off the field.
Gabriel Jesus gave Man City more goals in the 45+6 minute and the 53 minute and substitute Leroy Sane sealed the game for Manchester City has he scored the 4th goal in the 77th minute and the 5th in the 90+1 minute.
