Chelsea FC amazingly changed the match on it’s head by winning against one of the world’s top teams Atletico Madrid by winning 2-1 after going 1-0 down. In the 40th minute, David Luiz conceded a sloppy penalty by shoving Lucas the Atletico midfielder over in the penalty box.

Antoine Griezman Cooly slotted the penalty home for 1-0. However, 15 minutes into the second half, the lead was cancelled out by Alvaro Morata after a seeking ball played into him by Eden Hazard as Morata headed the ball past Jan Oblak for 1-1.

The final 15 minutes was completely dominated by Atletico Madrid but in the 90+2 minute, David Luiz won Chelsea a free kick in Atletico Madrid territory. Chelsea slickly worked their way past Madrid’s defenders and Michy Batshuayi placed the ball into the net with what turned out to be the winning goal with the last kick of the game. This crucial win kept Chelsea top of group C with six points from two games.
